One weekend away at a favorite hot springs. One fateful Valentine’s Day meal. One proposal. It’s not the beginning of our story, but it is truly a pivotal moment. Joe planned a wonderful weekend away at one of our favorite destinations. Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. A scenic and relaxing location located at the base of Mt. Princeton surrounded by the Collegiate Peaks. The warm pools of water in the Chalk Creek are created using rocks to capture the naturally heated water that mixes with the cold water of the creek. The water rushing down the creek creates an even deeper level of relaxation. After soaking the afternoon away, a dinner reservation awaited us at the Mary Murphy Steakhouse located in the Mt. Princeton Resort. Before dinner was served, while sipping Prosecco Joe simply stated that he very much enjoys spending all of his time with me. I agree. I very much enjoy spending my time with Joe and all of our adventures together. He pulls out a ring box. This box contains the same ring that his father proposed to his mother. He says “Let’s spend the rest of our lives together”. Of course, I say “yes”.
