In a magical place named Colorado Springs. At an enchanted place the Broadmoor Resort, Joe and Mitzi had their first date on May 9th 2023. But it didn’t begin there, it began on Facebook dating.

Mitzi was scrolling through pictures and saw Joe in his “little sports jacket”; he was different than what she had chosen before and she “Liked” Joe. Joe was also scrolling and saw he was “Liked” by this beautiful young woman, with only one picture and no profile. He was skeptical that this beautiful woman would be interested in him, but in a second, he “Liked” her back. What did he have to lose? She was so beautiful. It could be she wasn’t real; at worst he might be stood up, but there was no way he could let this opportunity pass. For Mitzi being in Colorado was lonely. She had left Texas behind to start a new life. Facebook dating seemed to be an avenue to meet new people. While cruising through Facebook dating, Mitzi saw Joe’s profile, it was so intriguing and different than what Mitzi gravitated to before.

That evening they spoke. The next evening, they were meeting at the Broadmoor Resort. As Mitzi pulled up, she saw Joe walking up from the bench near the church wearing the same “little sports jacket”. What Joe saw was an enchanted carriage pull up, actually at Toyota pickup truck. The door opened and a beautiful maiden in a dress and blue jean jacket stepped out. Joe immediately took her hand and walked her to the Broadmoor.

Joe fell in love on that first date at the Broadmore Resort, a 6-hour date. They talked, Joe sang to her, Mitzi told her story, they walked barefoot and danced in the grass, they had a yard of ale at the Golden Bee, and they kissed. Joe knew even then, he would marry this woman.

Joe and Mitzi had their second date 3-days later. It was 8-hours. Joe wore jeans. Mitzi told Joe she wasn’t sure she was going to continue to reside in Colorado. Joe with his big personality and oversized ego implored Mitzi to stay in Colorado. Mitzi had a previously planned trip to Texas and on her return, Joe took her by train through the Rockies to Glenwood Springs for a spa weekend. On the train ride back, they agreed that their adventure on Facebook dating was over.

There would be Joe and Mitzi forever. Their adventures have taken them to many places. Maryland to meet his family and friends, then to Texas to meet her family and friends. Each adventure they have been on together has drawn their relationship closer.

Mitzi has loved falling in love with Joe through these three years as they have traveled and look forward to many more years and adventures. He truly makes her happy, and she loves being able to be close to him. Joe was right. Mitzi stayed in Colorado. After taking her hand in that parking lot, he hasn’t let it go since.
